According to the latest figures published by Johns Hopkins University, 2,701,924 cases have been detected worldwide, with 189,308 deaths and 742,202 people now recovered.
In the United States, there have been 870,974 cases, with 49,231 deaths. 85,010 people have recovered from the virus.
