The World Health Organization found that infected people can be contagious and test positive 1 to 3 days before they develop symptoms.
As per the researchers, Eric Lau from the University of Hong Kong, these include the time between progressive cases in a chain of transmission and the incubation period between exposure to an infection and the appearance of symptoms.
